Rather than simply increasing the load rating of a single component, the XD-1250 was designed as a fully integrated system where the slip, bowl, and bushing work together to achieve higher performance.

A Complete Engineered System

The XD-1250 consists of three primary components engineered to function together:

Compatible with Existing 1,000-Ton Configurations

While the XD-1250 was developed to exceed the traditional 1,000-ton benchmark, flexibility remained an important design consideration.

The XD-1250 slip components are compatible with other existing 1,000-ton configurations, allowing customers to replace or integrate components into compatible equipment when required. This compatibility gives operators another qualified source for replacement components while helping reduce the challenges of relying on a single equipment supplier.

Compatible accessories already in service, such as the Ramey Martin Air Operated Slip Lifting Device (SLD), can continue to be used, helping minimize changes to the overall handling system.

When the XD-1250 slip is used with a standard 1,000-ton bowl and bushing, the assembly maintains a 1,000-ton rating.

To achieve the full 1,250-ton capacity, the complete Ramey Martin XD-1250 Slip, Bowl, and Bushing must be used together.

Understanding the Rated Capacity

The load rating of a rotary slip assembly is determined by the complete system, not the slip alone.

For that reason, the XD-1250 offers two rated configurations.
